Winter Meeting 2004  of the

At the CMS Winter Meeting 2004 in Montreal there will be a special session in Algebraic Combinatorics. Topics include all aspects of algebraic combinatorics and their relations with other parts of mathematics. One particular focus will be on recent work concerning relations among symmetric functions.

Also of potential interest to combinatorialists at the Winter meeting are the plenary lecture by Persi Diaconis, entitled "A mathematician flips a coin," and the Coxeter-James Prize lecture of Izabella Laba, entitled "Harmonic analysis and combinatorics: Are we there yet?"
