  2. We will not have labs on January 23 and 24, and our first lab sessions will be on January 30 and 31.

  3. Please check your schedule of exams and projects in other courses and compare with the tentative exam dates on the ELEC 226 syllabus.

    The proposed dates for ELEC 226 exams are February 21 and April 3 (both are Tuesdays). Please let me know by Thursday, Jan. 26 if the proposed dates are bad for you, and we will finalize the exam dates.

  4. Please bring your calculator to class on Tuesday, Jan. 24. We will have a short quiz on complex number arithmetic and solving simultaneous linear equations with complex coefficients.

  5. Please solve the following problems and submit solutions in class on Thursday, Jan. 26. Please use the circuit analysis method that is specified in parentheses.
    Chapter 3: Problem 3.16 (use nodal analysis with a supernode).
    Chapter 7: Problems 7.28 (use Delta-Y), 7.38 (see Figures 7-17 and 7-18 for a summary of Thevenin analysis methods), 7.39 (first find the Thevenin equivalent circuit to the left of terminals (a, b)), 7.49 (use mesh analysis with a supermesh), and 7.59 (assume an ideal op amp that is not saturated, redraw circuit with phasors and impedances).
