Problem 8.21: 

a) VS,rms = 407 L 31.8° Vrms

b) Z1 = 1.08 + j0.81 kohm; Z2 = 1.57 − j1.60 kohm; Z3 = 2.02 − j2.69 kohm

 

Problem 8.23: 

a) pf = 0.84 [lagging/leading not given here, but you should specify]

b) C is on the order of 1 micro farad

 

Problem 8.26: Maximum power is 12.5 W.
