2. Please solve the following problems in Chapters 5 and 6 and submit solutions on November 11:

   Chapter 5: 43 and 46.
   Chapter 6: 1, 3, 14, 17, 20, and 39.

3. Exam 2 will be on Friday, November 13. The exam will be closed-book and closed-notes, and will emphasize the topics from homework assignments 5 through 9 (Chapters 4 and 5) and labs 3, 4, and 5. The specific topics include the following:
   • Circuit analysis with the node-voltage and mesh-current methods. You will need to solve simultaneous linear equations.
   • Source transformations
   • Thevenin and Norton equivalent circuits
   • Power delivered to a load and maximum power transfer
   • Superposition
   • Operational amplifier circuits
     • Useful circuits, such as buffer (or voltage follower, isolation amplifier), inverting amp., noninverting amp., summing amp., difference amp.
     • Ideal model for op amp in circuits with negative feedback
     • Conditions for saturation of the op amp
     • More realistic model for op amp with finite gain, finite input resistance, and nonzero output resistance
