Reading:
- In the Nilsson/Riedel text, continue to study Chapter 3, particularly Sections 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7.
- Please read Chapter 4, Sections 4.9-4.11 on Thevenin and Norton equivalent circuits (we will use this in Lab 2 on Sept. 17).
- Then please study Sections 4.1-4.4 (node-voltage method) and 4.5-4.8 (mesh-current method).
Please solve the following problems, and submit solutions on September 16:
Chapter 3: Problems 11, 24, 25, 26, 14, 17, 18, and 49.
Extra Credit: (Same as listed on Homework 2. Please submit before Sept. 16.)
Use PSpice to solve Problem 2.31 in the text and find the current i_delta, the voltage v_o, and the power of each element in the circuit. Recall that we analyzed this problem in class on Sept. 2 and this was listed as the "Challenge" in Lab 1.
