  1. Reading: In the Nilsson/Riedel text, please continue to study all of Chapter 4. For October 15 and 20, please review your notes on op amps from ELEC 120 and begin reading Chapter 5, Sections 5.1-5.3.

  2. Your reports for Lab 3 are due on Friday, October 10, as scheduled.

  3. An optional session for help with solving simultaneous equations with your calculator will be held as follows:
    Thursday, October 16, 7-8 PM in Dana 307.

  4. Please solve the following problems in Chapter 4 and submit solutions on Monday, October 20. (Homework 6a)
    Mesh-current method: 31(a), 38, 44, 45, 47.
    Node-voltage or mesh-current: 51(a), 56, 58(a).
    Source transformation: 59, 60, 62.

    You should follow the step-by-step instructions for the mesh-current method for the problems involving this technique.

  5. Please solve the following problems in Chapters 4 and 5 and submit solutions on Wednesday, October 22 Friday, October 24 (Homework 6b).
    Please submit by 4 PM on October 24 at my office (BRKI 67) or to Judy in the EE department office.
    Chapter 4:
    • Thevenin equivalent: 64, 68, 71, 75, 78.
    • Power transfer: 79, 88, 90.
    • Superposition: 94, 95.

    Chapter 5 (op amps): 1(d), 2, 3, and 5.

    Please recall the notes on methods for finding Thevenin model.
